Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how CyberDaddy LLC collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our website, free guided setup flow, mobile app, paid plans, and related features.
CyberDaddy is built for parents and guardians managing household devices. Some features may involve connected service providers, device setup information, support and diagnostic logs, and parent-created child profile information.
What We Collect
Depending on how you use CyberDaddy, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Contact and account information — such as your email address and invite or access status
- Family setup information — such as platform selections, setup progress, policy preferences, and household configuration details you choose to enter
- Child profile information submitted by an adult — such as profile labels or nicknames, age-band selections, device assignments, and related policy settings
- Connected provider data — such as provider account references, profile IDs, policy settings, recent logs, analytics, or related metadata made available when you connect a supported provider
- Support and feedback information — such as messages you send us, bug reports, survey responses, and feature requests
- Technical and diagnostic information — such as IP address, browser or device type, request metadata, client error reports, health-check information, and security or operational logs
How We Use Information
We use information we collect to:
- Operate, secure, and improve CyberDaddy
- Provide the free guided setup flow and paid plans
- Store and sync family setup information
- Apply and display settings connected to supported providers
- Show analytics, logs, status information, and alerts where those features are offered
- Respond to support requests, feedback, and bug reports
- Communicate with you about product updates, account information, product changes, and service messages
- Prevent abuse, enforce our terms, and protect the security of the service
- Comply with legal obligations
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers and infrastructure partners that help us host, secure, operate, email, or support CyberDaddy
- Connected service providers when you instruct CyberDaddy to interact with them on your behalf
- Legal or safety disclosures when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service
- Business transfers if CyberDaddy is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets
How CyberDaddy Filters
CyberDaddy filters in two places: on your child's device, and — only if you choose to connect one — through a DNS filtering provider account that you own.
On-device filtering. The Safari Content Blocker and Screen Time controls run entirely on your child's device. CyberDaddy supplies the filtering rules; the device applies them. The websites your child visits are not sent to CyberDaddy. We receive records of CyberDaddy's own protection events — for example, that a restricted app was opened — which we use to show you protection status and activity.
Parent-owned DNS filtering. If you connect a third-party DNS filtering provider account, that provider resolves and filters your family's DNS queries and holds the resulting logs under its own terms and privacy policy. CyberDaddy reads that activity from your provider account at the time you view it, in order to display it to you. CyberDaddy does not store your family's DNS query logs.
CyberDaddy does not currently operate its own DNS resolver.
Third-Party Services
CyberDaddy may use third-party providers and infrastructure to operate the service, including hosting, email, payments, and related tooling, such as Cloudflare, Resend, Buttondown, and Stripe.
CyberDaddy also supports connecting an existing third-party DNS filtering account (such as NextDNS or Control D) for network-wide filtering. If you choose to connect one, CyberDaddy shares the information needed to create and manage your child's filtering profile with that provider on your behalf. This includes the profile label you assign — which may contain a child's name or nickname — along with device assignments, policy settings, and the DNS queries that provider resolves and filters. These third-party DNS filtering providers act as service providers processing this information to deliver the protection feature; they do not receive this information for advertising and are not data brokers.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. CyberDaddy does not control the independent privacy practices of third parties.
Children’s Privacy
CyberDaddy is intended for adults, not for direct use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through a child-facing sign-up flow.
If a parent or guardian uses CyberDaddy and submits information about a child, we treat that information as having been provided by the adult for household management purposes. If you believe a child has directly provided personal information to CyberDaddy without parental involvement, contact us and we will review and delete it as appropriate.
Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies
CyberDaddy may use essential cookies or similar technologies for security, authentication, session continuity, and rate limiting. For example, the site may use a short-lived rate-limiting cookie to prevent duplicate submissions or abuse.
We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies on CyberDaddy.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain security and logs, respond to support requests, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements.
CyberDaddy does not retain your family's DNS query logs. Any DNS activity shown in the app or dashboard is read from your own filtering provider account at the time you view it, and is held by that provider under its own retention terms.
Protection events generated by CyberDaddy's own on-device enforcement — such as a restricted app being opened — are retained for up to 30 days, after which they are automatically deleted. You can request earlier deletion of this activity data at any time using the contact information at the bottom of this policy.
Waitlist and marketing email data may be retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information that no longer identifies you.
Your Choices
You may:
- Unsubscribe from marketing or launch emails using the unsubscribe link in the email
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you submitted to us
- Disconnect a supported provider integration where available
- Stop using the service at any time

Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to help protect information. However, no Internet or software-based service can be guaranteed 100% secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting, and some support Global Privacy Control (GPC). There is no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. CyberDaddy does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If we detect a GPC signal from your browser, we treat it as a valid opt-out request under applicable law.
We do not knowingly allow third-party advertising networks to collect personal information on CyberDaddy across unrelated websites for targeted advertising through our service.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page. Your continued use of CyberDaddy after the updated policy becomes effective means you accept the updated policy.
